It is an intense couple of days and an event truly not to be missed."
Ain will speak during the KronosWorks opening session along with Peter George, Kronos chief technology officer. In addition to Kronos executives, other featured workforce visionaries on the speaker circuit at KronosWorks include:
- Malcolm Gladwell, Best Selling Author of Blink and The Tipping Point, and Writer for The New Yorker Gladwell's presentation, titled "The Intuitive Manager", will explore the notion that the best and most effective managers are often said to be intuitive, in the sense that they have the confidence to act on instinct. Gladwell will provide the audience with insight on how they can improve their skill at interpreting intuition to become better decision makers at home, in the office, and in everyday life.
- The Honorable Bill Bradley, Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Professional Basketball Player, Author, and Former U.S. Senator Bradley's presentation, titled "Helping Your Workforce Meet the New Competition", will examine how organizations can recruit, retain, and build talented teams and give them authority to lead the way to better products and services. He will delve into how to build relational capital and how organizations can empower front-line people without unleashing turf wars, duplication of effort, and corporate chaos.
Hot topics sessions

- The Hidden Costs of Absenteeism George Faulkner, principal, Mercer Absenteeism can have a significant impact on an organization's bottom line, yet most organizations do not have a clear understanding of the costs associated with employee absence. This session will help attendees understand how much absence really costs by reviewing the results of a recent survey conducted by Mercer.
- Are You Paying Your Employees Correctly? Understanding the Regular Rate of Pay Larry White, CPP, director of payroll training, American Payroll Association The Department of Labor assessed hundreds of millions of dollars in penalties and back pay against employers in 2007. In this session attendees will learn how to correctly calculate the regular rate of pay, which payments are excluded, and each employee's overtime premium.
- ROI: How to Make the Business Case for Labor Management David O'Connell, senior research analyst, Nucleus Research This session will help attendees estimate the benefits, ROI, and payback on their existing or potential labor management deployment and make the business case for either adopting labor management or expanding the scope of an existing deployment.
